Marking the special milestone, veteran actor Anil Kapoor, who played the powerful role of Group Captain Rakesh “Rocky” Jaisingh in the film, shared his emotions with fans through social media.
On Sunday, Anil Kapoor took to his official Instagram handle and posted a few pictures from Fighter, showcasing his commanding on-screen presence. Along with the images, the actor penned a heartfelt and reflective note, expressing gratitude for the journey and the memories associated with the film.
Anil Kapoor wrote that even after two years, Fighter continues to live on in people’s hearts. He shared that some stories and experiences go beyond the big screen and remain alive long after the film’s release. Describing the project as a memorable journey, the actor thanked the team, the spirit behind the film, and the immense love from audiences that keeps it relevant even today. He celebrated the occasion with the hashtag #2YearsOfFighter.
Written by Siddharth Anand along with Ramon Chibb, Fighter starred Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles. Their performances, combined with high-octane action sequences and aerial combat visuals, received wide appreciation from viewers. Supporting performances by Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Rishabh Sawhney, and Sanjeeda Sheikh further strengthened the narrative.
Produced by Viacom18 Studios in collaboration with Marflix Pictures, Fighter marked the first installment of a planned aerial action franchise. The film stood out for its technical brilliance, with cinematography handled by Satchith Paulose and editing led by Aarif Sheikha. The music, composed by the popular duo Vishal–Shekhar, added energy and emotional depth to the story.
Looking ahead, Anil Kapoor is set to appear next in Suresh Triveni’s Subedaar, where he will be seen in the role of a former soldier adjusting to civilian life while trying to mend his strained relationship with his daughter, played by Radhikka Madan. The film is jointly produced by Vikram Malhotra, Anil Kapoor, and Suresh Triveni.
In addition to Subedaar, Anil Kapoor will also play an important role in Alia Bhatt’s much-anticipated film Alpha. Directed by Shiv Rawail and featuring Sharvari Wagh, the film is part of the expanding YRF Spy Universe.
