Crude oil prices have surged once more amid ongoing tensions in the Middle East, with no clear signs of de-escalation. After a sharp decline in the previous session, prices have rebounded strongly.
Brent crude rose by $1.13, or 1.1%, to reach $103.35 per barrel. Similarly, US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude climbed by $1.08, or around 1.2%, to $91.40 per barrel.
The rebound comes just a day after oil prices had dropped nearly 2% on Wednesday. The earlier decline followed signals from US President Donald Trump about calling off a planned attack on an Iranian power plant and easing certain sanctions. However, renewed geopolitical tensions in West Asia have once again driven prices higher.
