Truck Hits Car on Highway, four others sustained serious injurie

A speeding truck rammed into a car parked on the roadside on National Highway-44 in Sonipat, Haryana, on Friday morning. The impact was so severe that the truck dragged the car for nearly 100 meters, leaving it completely mangled.

Two real sisters died on the spot in the accident, while two other sisters, a child, and a young man sustained serious injuries. The crash triggered chaos at the scene, with bystanders rushing to help and pulling the injured out of the wrecked vehicle.

Police reached the spot soon after receiving information and initiated rescue operations. The injured were first taken to the Civil Hospital in Sonipat, while the bodies were sent to the mortuary for postmortem. Meanwhile, the truck driver fled the scene.

According to police, the family in the car was traveling from Uttam Nagar in Delhi to Murthal in Sonipat to celebrate a child’s birthday when the accident occurred. One of the deceased women was a resident of Amritsar, Punjab.
