Following the tragic boat accident in the Yamuna River in Vrindavan, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann reached Jagraon and paid homage to the deceased. CM acted swiftly, assuring all possible assistance to the affected families. Calling the incident extremely heartbreaking, he stated that the government stands firmly with the victims during this difficult time.
CM Mann spoke directly with Yogi Adityanath to assess the situation and offered full cooperation in ongoing relief and rescue operations. He emphasized that the Punjab government remains in constant coordination with the Uttar Pradesh administration and is closely monitoring developments at the site.
According to reports, 11 devotees have lost their lives in the accident so far, while 22 people have been injured and four are still missing. Most of the victims belong to Ludhiana and Jagraon areas, casting a shadow of grief across the region.
In his message, CM Mann said, “This is an extremely tragic incident. The loss of lives has plunged the entire state into mourning. We stand with every affected family and will ensure all possible support.”
He has directed officials to ensure that there is no shortfall in the treatment of the injured and in providing assistance to the affected families. Meanwhile, the Ludhiana administration has set up control rooms to maintain continuous coordination and support.
