Punjab Governor Gulab Chand Kataria visited Fatehgarh Sahib, where he paid obeisance at Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib before attending a university convocation ceremony. He offered his respects and floral tributes at the shrine.
Speaking to the media, Governor Kataria paid homage to the martyrdom of the younger Sahibzadas and the sacrifice of Mata Gujri Kaur. He said that their sacrifice remains one of the greatest inspirations in Indian history, teaching the values of courage, faith, and humanity.
The Governor also expressed grief over the recent incident in Vrindavan and extended his condolences to the affected families. Kataria stated that the tragic event has shaken the entire nation. He emphasized that such an incident occurring despite proper arrangements is deeply unfortunate and those responsible must be given strict punishment.
