Iyer scores a half-century for Mumbai against Himachal Pradesh, while Karnataka batsmen post big totals against Rajasthan
Indian cricket team vice-captain Shreyas Iyer showcased his fitness and form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy with an impressive performance. Leading Mumbai against Himachal Pradesh in Jaipur, Iyer scored 81 runs, putting his team in a strong position. Iyer was recently selected for Team India’s series against New Zealand, but his participation depended on proving his fitness and form.
In the same match, Suryakumar Yadav scored 24 runs, while Musheer Khan contributed 73 before getting out. Young batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal added 15 runs, and Sarfaraz Khan scored 21. Padikkal became the first batsman to score over 300 runs in three consecutive Vijay Hazare Trophy seasons, reflecting his consistency and form.
