Haryana CM Nayab Singh said that the work of strengthening all roads in the state will be completed by August 31. Orders have been issued to all concerned departments. Besides this, the deadline for the floating the tender process has also been set for seven days. After this specified timeframe, not a single road in the state will be in a dilapidated condition, directed the Chief Minister while chairing a key meeting with officers in Karnal on Monday.
The CM directed that pending development projects and schemes should be completed quickly. Besides this, the officers concerned should ensure the resolution of people's issues in ‘Samadhan Shivirs’ to be organised in their respective offices.He further directed that the officers concerned must pay utmost attention to the problems, issue raised by the citizens and ensure quick solutions. He said that if any negligence is observed at any level, strict action will be taken.
The CM directed the officers to focus on resolving all issues related to PPP, property IDs, electricity department, and police department. He said that as soon as a person turns 60 years old, officers of the Department of Social Welfare should visit the homes of elderly individuals to verify their age and process their pensions. Similarly, special focus should be given to verifying BPL cards, PPP income, and LDM should promptly resolve issues related to Banks.
The CM directed the tehsildars and other officers of the revenue department to ensure completion of registry work after imposing tokens; if any complaints are received in this regard, the negligent officers will not be forgiven, he directed.The CM said that contractors who obtain tenders but engage in wrongful activities and delay work will be blacklisted. Furthermore, if necessary, the property of the contractor will also be confiscated, he said.
Development work will start soon upon regularisation of 39 colonies
CM directed the officers concerned to expedite the completion of development work that is pending in colonies. The development work in these 39 colonies in the city will be done after regularisation of these colonies as per the rules, and a plan has been prepared by the Municipal Corporation for their development. As soon as the colonies are regularised, development work will commence, he said.
Additionally, he directed the civic body officers to submit a report on development charges for old properties so that future actions can be taken and relief can be provided to the people. There will be no shortage of budget for development work in this city, said the Chief Minister.
On this occasion, MLA Sh. Harvinder Kalyan, Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Uttam Singh, Municipal Commissioner, Sh. Abhishek Meena, and other officers of various departments also remained present.
