The Income Tax Department celebrated the 75th Republic Day at Aayakar Bhawan, Sector-17 E, Chandigarh, with Amrapalli Das, Pr. Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, North West Region, Chandigarh, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
Amrapalli Das unfurled the tricolor, joined by senior officers releasing tricolor balloons symbolizing the nation's rising stature and the department's commitment. A vibrant cultural program showcased patriotic performances by children from the Income Tax department, Gurukul Global School, and Shivalik Public School, reflecting on the sacrifices of our national heroes and fostering universal brotherhood.
In her Republic Day speech, Das highlighted the pivotal role of the Income Tax Department in nation-building, tracing its journey from independence to its current status as a major contributor to the country's financial health. She commended the children's performances, urging them to grow into model citizens.
The event embraced the tricolor theme, featuring awards for the "best patriotic attire." A themed photo booth captured the enthusiasm of the audience, including Sh. N. Jayasankar, PCIT-1, Chandigarh, senior officers, officials, and their families, contributing to a memorable celebration.
