Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-

ACS Home Department, Dr. Sumita Misra, reviewed the preparations of Panchkula District Administration for the CET examination scheduled for July 26-27, 2025. She issued clear instructions to the district administration and police, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy for negligence.

Dr. Misra directed the police to maintain strict vigilance while being courteous to candidates and their guardians. Extending her best wishes to all aspirants, she urged them to arrive at exam centres well in advance and assured them that any candidate facing difficulties en route could approach the nearest police personnel for assistance. Police have been instructed to escort stranded candidates to their exam centres without delay. She also directed the setup of helpdesks at bus stands and other prominent locations for the convenience of candidates.

She further urged students and parents not to fall for fake messages, letters, or rumors circulating on social media. "Follow only official instructions issued by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, the police, or the district administration," she stated. Any attempt to spread misinformation or share forged documents will result in immediate police action.

Deputy Commissioner, Panchkula, Monika Gupta, participating in the meeting, apprised that the Panchkula district is fully prepared to host CET 2025. A dedicated bus service has been arranged from the Sector-5 Bus Stand, with over 108 buses deployed to transport candidates to their exam centers. Special buses will also depart from Kalka, Morni, Barwala, and Raipur Rani in two shifts to accommodate the exam schedule.

She informed that mobile phones are completely banned inside exam centres, not just for candidates but also for duty staff. Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita will remain enforced around all exam centres. Coaching centres and photocopy shops will remain shut for both days to eliminate any chances of cheating.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Srishti Gupta, revealed that 550 police personnel will be deployed across 44 exam centres in Panchkula, supported by rooftop surveillance using binoculars to spot any suspicious activity. Special traffic management plans have been rolled out to avoid congestion. "No private vehicles will be allowed within a 500-meter radius of exam centers. Wrong parking will be dealt with strictly, and violators will face legal action," she added.

DCP Gupta also announced that loudspeaker announcements via ERV (Emergency Response Vehicle) and PCR (Police Control Room) vans will guide students and the public. All police units have been directed to remain on high alert and act swiftly against anyone attempting malpractice or disturbing peace.
