Veteran stars and rising talents gear up for April 2–5 showdown at Caledonian Golf Club
Punjab Newsline,Sports :
India’s most successful Asian Tour golfer, Gaganjeet Bhullar, is set to spearhead a strong Indian contingent at the International Series Japan 2026, scheduled from April 2 to 5 at the prestigious Caledonian Golf Club. With 11 Asian Tour titles to his name, Bhullar enters the tournament in impressive form, having dominated the Indian Golf Premier League (IGPL) Tour with three victories in 2025 and continuing his winning momentum into 2026.
Joining him is a mix of experienced campaigners and emerging stars, including Karandeep Kochhar, who recently clinched an Asian Development Tour title in Egypt, along with seasoned names like Jeev Milkha Singh, SSP Chawrasia, and Jyoti Randhawa. Young talent Shaurya Bhattacharya also adds depth to the squad after an impressive domestic season on the PGTI.
Despite India’s strong presence, no Indian has yet clinched a title on the International Series, adding extra motivation for Bhullar and his team. Meanwhile, Jeev Milkha Singh brings valuable experience, especially in Japan, where he has enjoyed remarkable success with four wins during his career.
The international field is equally competitive, featuring Canadian golfer Richard T. Lee, Philippines star Miguel Tabuena, and Australasia’s top-ranked Travis Smyth. Lee arrives with high confidence after a near victory against Bryson DeChambeau at LIV Golf Singapore, while Tabuena continues to build on his successful 2025 International Series campaign.
With a powerful mix of experience and youth, the stage is set for an exciting golfing showdown in Japan, where Indian players will look to create history and claim their first International Series title.
