A spokesperson of the State Election Commission today here informed that under the instructions of the Election Commission of India, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is currently being conducted in Bihar.
The last date for submission of enumeration forms is 25th July, 2025. Voters from Bihar temporarily residing in Himachal Pradesh can verify and update their details online through https://voters.eci.gov.in and ECINET App, or submit forms via family members to the concerned BLO.
He said that the draft electoral roll will be published on 1st August, 2025, and the period for filing claims and objections will remain open from 1st August to 1st September, 2025. To support their application, voters must attach any one document from the prescribed list of 11 identity proofs, including government ID, passport, educational certificates, domicile certificate and pension papers, etc.
Pre-filled forms could also be downloaded and the signed forms could be submitted via WhatsApp, email or any other medium to the concerned BLO. The forms could also be submitted through family members to the BLO. In case documents are not immediately available, they can be submitted later within the claim period.
The spokesperson said that for any assistance, voters can also call on the voter helpline number 1950 or visit the nearest election office. Voters are encouraged to verify their status regularly through the ECINET App or website to ensure error-free inclusion in the electoral roll.
