AAP's taunt- Punjab is submerged in floods, but Congress leaders are immersed in delicacies
This is like rubbing salt on the wounds of the people, said Neel Garg
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-
Punjab is in the grip of severe floods these days. Lakhs of people of Punjab have lost their homes and are forced to yearn for one time food under the open sky. But in the meantime, a picture of Congress state president and MP Amarinder Raja Warring has stirred up controversy. A picture of him enjoying sweets and delicacies has gone viral which has raised the temper in the people. The opposition has come under the target of the ruling party over this. AAP's senior spokesperson Neel Garg has also targeted the Congress.
Viral picture of Raja Warring is from the time when he was in Ferozepur to take review of the situation in the flood affected villages. During that time, he was welcomed in a house and dishes were served to him. People have found this picture quite unpleasant. The villagers are angry that if the leaders just want to fill their stomachs, they should have issued statements from home, why do they go to the village of the victims and pretend to sympathize?
At the same time, AAP's senior spokesperson Neel Garg has also targeted the Congress. He tweeted that this attitude of Raja Warring is like sprinkling salt on the wounds of flood victims. In his tweet, he said that flood victims are getting one-time meals and children are sleeping hungry under broken roofs... and what do Congress leaders doing? Raja Warring is enjoying Shahi Sandwiches, Pakoras and sweets in Ferozepur. This is not sympathy — this is hypocrisy! Two faces, two standards — one fake for the public, one real for their feasts!
