Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed a pre-budget consultation meeting held in Kurukshetra with representatives of various organisations. On this occasion, State Minister for Entrepreneurship Gaurav Gautam was also present.

Office-bearers of leading organisations representing different sections of society participated in the meeting. Representatives of the Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Vidya Bharati, Adhivakta Parishad, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Krida Bharti and other prominent organisations took part and presented important budget-related suggestions pertaining to their respective fields before the government.

A Balanced Budget to Be Formed Through Participation of All Sections

Saini said that this is not the budget of any single government or any election agenda, but the budget of 2.80 crore citizens of Haryana under the leadership of Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi. He said that the government’s objective is to prepare a budget that ensures participation of every section and accelerates the State’s overall and balanced development.

Calling the pre-budget consultation process an important and powerful instrument of democracy, the Chief Minister said that the government will seriously consider the suggestions received from farmers, workers, youth, advocates, education, sports and social organisations. He expressed confidence that a budget prepared through public participation will play a significant role in making Haryana a self-reliant, empowered and developed State.

Saini assured all representatives of the organisations present at the meeting that every practical and public-interest-oriented suggestion received during the pre-budget consultations will be considered on priority and included in the upcoming budget as far as possible. He said that the government aims to present a visionary, balanced and people-centric budget whose impact will not remain confined to paper, but will be clearly visible on the ground in the coming years.

During the meeting, OSD to the Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Heena Bindlish, presented details of the action-taken report related to the pre-budget consultations.
