HPCA Senior Women’s Team Defeats Thailand by 6 Wickets

HPCA team delivers impressive performance in practice match at Dharamshala

In a practice match held on Monday at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala, the HPCA senior women’s team defeated the Thailand women’s team by 6 wickets. HPCA won the toss and opted to bowl first. Thailand posted 110 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Nannapat scored the highest 47 runs for Thailand, followed by Nathakan Chantham with 20, while captain Narueimol and Suliporn contributed 10 runs each. For HPCA, Manisha, Ahana, Lalita, Sushmita, and Pallavi each took one wicket.

Chasing the target, HPCA scored 114 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 17.1 overs to secure the victory. Batting highlights included Agrim remaining unbeaten with 56 runs, Ahana scoring 21, captain Sushma 18, and Harsh Jambal contributing an unbeaten 9 runs to guide the team to the target. The team’s coordination and the batters’ composure played a key role in the win.

Thailand’s bowlers Onicha, Thichapa, Suliporn, and Chayanisa took one wicket each. HPCA’s performance in the practice match was outstanding, with the senior women’s team demonstrating their strength and teamwork. This victory boosts HPCA’s confidence as they prepare for upcoming tournaments.
