Several impressive performances by batters and bowlers in the sixth round of the domestic one-day tournament

The sixth round of the prestigious domestic one-day tournament, the Vijay Hazare Trophy, was played on Tuesday, with a total of 19 matches being held across different venues involving 38 teams. The round witnessed strong batting displays along with impactful bowling performances.

In Rajkot, wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel scored a fine half-century for Uttar Pradesh. Batting against Vidarbha, Uttar Pradesh reached 160 for one in 29 overs, comfortably crossing the 150-run mark. Jurel’s composed yet attacking knock helped his team build a solid platform.

In Ahmedabad, Karnataka captain Mayank Agarwal and opener Devdutt Padikkal struck half-centuries against Rajasthan. Riding on their impressive knocks, Karnataka posted 178 runs in 27 overs, gaining the upper hand early in the match through a strong opening partnership.

Meanwhile in Bengaluru, Gujarat’s Urvil Patel played a quickfire innings, bringing up his half-century off just 36 balls and boosting his team’s scoring rate. In another match, Railways struggled against Delhi, losing five wickets while managing only 64 runs in 18 overs.

In the Plate Group final being played in Ranchi, Bihar’s Shabbir Khan delivered a sensational bowling spell, claiming a hat-trick against Manipur. After losing the toss and being sent in to bat, Manipur slumped to 21 for five in five overs, with Shabbir Khan taking four of those wickets.
