The Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, Hamirpur, has announced recruitment for 808 teaching posts in CBSE-affiliated government schools. The commission has invited online applications from eligible and interested candidates through its official website(https://hprca.hp.gov.in) for scheme-based direct recruitment across various subjects.
The online application process will begin on April 17, 2026 (10:00 AM) and continue until May 8, 2026 (11:59 PM). After this deadline, the application link will be deactivated.
The commission has clarified that no offline applications will be accepted. Applicants must carefully read all instructions before filling out the Online Recruitment Application (ORA). A correction window will be available for four days after the closing date, allowing candidates to make changes by paying a prescribed fee. Candidates must present a downloaded copy of the application along with original documents and self-attested copies during document verification.
The cutoff date for determining eligibility, qualifications, and experience will be May 8, 2026. However, candidates belonging to categories such as OBC, BPL, EWS, and dependents of freedom fighters must ensure their category certificates remain valid both on the last date of application and at the time of document verification. The age limit for all categories is 18 to 45 years, calculated as of January 1, 2026.
Examination Fee Details
All candidates, regardless of category, must pay ₹100 as examination fee and ₹700 as processing fee.
The total fee payable is ₹800.
Correction fee is ₹100.
A correction window will be opened for 4 days after the last date of ORA submission.

Number of Vacancies by Subject
118 posts each for Music, Sanskrit, Drawing, and Physical Education (Primary) teachers. 86 posts for History teachers. 151 posts for Hindi teachers. 99 posts for Geography teachers. Selected candidates will receive ₹30,000 per month for 10 months in an academic year.
Minimum Qualifying Marks for Written Screening Test
General category candidates must secure at least 45% marks. SC/ST/OBC and dependents of freedom fighters must secure at least 40% marks. If sufficient candidates do not qualify, the commission may relax the qualifying marks by up to 5% with valid reasons. Number of posts is tentative and may increase or decrease.
Nature of Recruitment
Recruitment will be scheme-based and temporary for 5 years. These appointments are not against sanctioned posts.Candidates will not be considered government employees. No right to regularization in the Education Department. Government medical reimbursement rules will not apply. Teachers can be posted in any CBSE-affiliated or other government schools as per requirement. Service rules like CCS/CCA, leave rules, pension rules, etc., will not apply. This service period will not be counted for any additional benefits. Only benefits mentioned under the scheme will be applicable. State government may add more terms and conditions if required.
