TDK delegation meets Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at Bharat Electricity Summit–2026

Haryana has emerged as a preferred destination for foreign investors. This is evident from the growing interest of global companies expressing their willingness to invest in the state. At the Bharat Electricity Summit–2026, a Japanese company has also shown interest in investing around ₹4,000 crore in Haryana.
During the summit, a delegation of Japanese company TDK Corporation met Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini along with Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Sh. Manohar Lal. During the meeting, the delegation expressed its intent to invest approximately ₹4,000 crore in Haryana to establish a new plant. The company plans to set up a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) unit in the state. It is noteworthy that TDK Corporation has already an established facility spread over 180 acres in Sohna, Haryana.
Haryana attracting investor interest continuously
Under the leadership of CM, Haryana is steadily progressing in the industrial sector. Not only domestic but also international companies are consistently making significant investments in the state. The state government’s new industrial policy is providing continuous incentives and facilities. The budget presented by Saini has given special emphasis to the industrial sector, contributing to the development of a robust industrial ecosystem in Haryana.
New momentum to ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in Haryana
It is noteworthy that on the call of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana Chief Minister has taken significant steps to further strengthen the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ in the state. This has led to increased investment inflow. Under a new initiative of the state government, continuous engagement is being maintained with industry stakeholders to address challenges related to production costs, logistics and procedural processes. These reforms have not only boosted investor confidence but have also significantly benefited small and medium enterprises.
The Haryana Government is consistently working to strengthen the global supply chains of Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). For this, necessary infrastructure, skill development and policy support are being reinforced to establish Haryana as a major manufacturing hub. This initiative aligns with the vision of ‘New India’ envisioned by Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, which emphasizes self-reliance, industrial growth and global competitiveness. All these efforts are being coordinated by the Department of Foreign Cooperation. Haryana is the only state where such a dedicated department is fully operational.
During the meeting, Advisor to the Chief Minister Sh. Pawan Choudhary; Fumio Sashida, CEO, TDK Corporation; Hideaki Seki from TDK Energy; Takahiro Suto from TDK Energy Devices; Kazunobu Miyake; Naoki Katayose from TDK Power Supply; Kentaro Oka, Chief Electric, Nishal; and other dignitaries were present.
