New List of Changes Issued for Batala, Amritsar Rural, and SBS Nagar

The Punjab government has carried out a major reshuffle in the police administration, transferring several district Senior Superintendents of Police (SSPs). As per the new orders, Suhail Kasim Mir, who was serving as the SSP of Batala, has now been appointed as the new SSP of Amritsar Rural. Along with Suhail Kasim Mir’s transfer, the government has also appointed a new officer for Batala.

Mehtab Singh, who was serving as the SSP of SBS Nagar, has now been posted as the new SSP of Batala. Considering his experience and administrative capabilities, the government has entrusted him with this significant responsibility. Similarly, Tushar Gupta, who was working as Joint Director (Crime) in the Vigilance Bureau, has been appointed as the new SSP of SBS Nagar. This change is seen as an effort to further strengthen law and order and administrative functioning in the district.

New Appointments in Intelligence Wing and ANTF

Abhimanyu Rana, serving as AIG in the Intelligence Wing of Punjab Police, has been appointed as the new SSP of Muktsar. It is believed that the ongoing cases and administrative needs in the district required an experienced officer, and Abhimanyu Rana is expected to handle the responsibilities effectively.

In the same sequence, the current SSP of Muktsar, Akhil Chaudhary, has been assigned a new and important responsibility. He has been posted as AIG in the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF). Considering the challenges related to drug control in Punjab, the role of ANTF is extremely crucial, and Chaudhary’s appointment is being viewed as a significant step in this direction.

These transfers are said to be part of a large-scale administrative restructuring undertaken by the Punjab government. It is expected that the appointment of new officers will strengthen law and order in the districts and enhance the efficiency of police administration.
