Haryana Industries and Commerce Minister, Rao Narbir Singh said that in Metropolitan cities like Gurugram, a robust road infrastructure is a basic need for citizens. The present state government’s priority is to make traffic management in urban areas smooth and safe, he said.
The Minister said this after laying the foundation stone for the construction of an 18-meter-wide road at Block-N, Ward No. 12, South City-1, Gurugram.
The Minister said that this road was one of the long-standing demands of local residents, which is now being fulfilled. He assured that this road will facilitate easier commuting for the residents of South City-1 and will help reduce traffic congestion.
During the event, the Minister also interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns. Citizens raised issues such as sewerage, street lighting, waterlogging, waste management, and park maintenance. The Minister directed officers of the concerned departments to ensure that all these issues are resolved on a priority basis.
Rao Narbir Singh said that along with development works, the government is also taking public issues very seriously. He emphasized that ‘Jan Samvad’ is the soul of democracy and it will ensure that every voice is heard and timely action is taken.
