MLA Dhaliwal, who hails from village Sathiala, holds detailed discussions with the Cabinet Minister on key issues
MLA Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal from Surrey North, Canada, paid a courtesy visit today to Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. at his office in Jandiala Guru. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere, during which both leaders discussed several important matters in detail.
Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal originally belongs to village Sathiala in Punjab. During his visit, he shared his views on the development initiatives being undertaken by the Punjab government, issues related to the Punjabi diaspora, and strengthening ties between Punjab and Canada. Various subjects concerning the role of overseas Punjabis, investment opportunities, and social development were also part of the discussions.
Welcoming the visiting MLA, Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh E.T.O. said that Punjabis settled abroad can play a significant role in Punjab’s progress. He added that the state government is committed to maintaining close engagement with the diaspora and incorporating their suggestions at the policy level wherever possible.
The meeting also focused on key areas such as infrastructure development, industry, education, and employment opportunities for youth in Punjab. Both leaders exchanged views on enhancing future cooperation to further strengthen the bond between Punjab and the overseas Punjabi community.
MLA Mandeep Singh Dhaliwal apprised the Cabinet Minister of the sentiments of the Punjabi community settled in Canada and expressed his willingness to extend full support toward Punjab’s development initiatives. He also appreciated the efforts of the Punjab government, stating that such initiatives would contribute positively to the state’s overall growth.
The meeting is being viewed as politically and socially significant, with expectations that it will open new avenues of cooperation between Punjab and the global Punjabi diaspora in the future.
