PMs decision to celebrate 'Veer Bal Diwas' in memory of Sahibzada is commendable: Baba Harnam Singh Khalsa

AMRITSAR: Head of Damdami Taksal and President of Sant Samaj Sant Giani Harnam Singh Khalsa today paid homage to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of the incarnation of Guru Gobind Singh ji as an appropriate tribute to the courage and fortitude of Sahibzada.

Appreciating the decision taken to declare December 26 as a public holiday in India and commemorating it as 'Veer Bal Diwas', he thanked the Prime Minister.

Speaking on the incarnation of Dasmesh Pita at GCBD Belapur, New Mumbai, the head of Damdami Taksal said that in 325 years no government of India had thought of paying homage to the martyrdom of Sahibzada, but the Prime Minister In fulfilling their duty through the decision, the four Sahibzada's have made a great effort to protect the Hindu religion and for the sake of Gursikhi, to make the world aware of the historical role of Mata Gujar Kaur Ji and the Sikh Panth.

He said that Mr Modi who dedicated this day in the memory of Lal of my Satgurus has awakened the people of India and conveyed the message of remembrance to the people of India for their sacrifices and martyrdom.

He said that with this step of the Prime Minister the head of the nation has been raised and the identity of Sikhs has been developed.

He said that anyone who does good deeds for the Panth should be encouraged and appreciated. Not critical of him. Or one should become ungrateful while slandering.

He stressed on the need to learn from Satguru in this regard and said that Dasmesh Pita had instructed Baba Banda Singh Bahadur to protect the kingdom of Sher Muhammad Khan Malerkotla by chanting 'Ha' in favor of the young princes.

The head of Damdami chief also demanded from the Prime Minister to resolve the long pending issues of Panth and Punjab as soon as possible.

Shiromani Akali Dal spokesperson Karnail Singh Peer Mohammad welcomed Modi's announcement to celebrate December 26 as 'Children's Day' in memory of Guru Gobind Singh's sons.

Meanwhile Mr Manjit Singh Bhoma General Secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal (United) has also appreciated the decision of Mr Narendra Modi.
