Hind Di Chadar’ brings 11 defining moments of the Ninth Guru’s life to devotees through immersive digital storytelling

In a unique blend of technology and tradition, the Government of Punjab has launched a first-of-its-kind Mixed Reality experience to commemorate the 350th Martyrdom Anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. The initiative marks a significant tech-meets-heritage milestone, presenting the Ninth Guru’s courage, sacrifice and spiritual leadership through an immersive digital format.
Accessible via simple QR codes placed at commemorative events, the 360° experience allows viewers to explore a deeply engaging narrative directly on their smartphones.
The centrepiece of the initiative, titled “Hind Di Chadar,” recreates 11 defining moments from Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji’s sacred journey. The experience highlights key events, including his coronation, his stand for religious freedom, the historic martyrdom at Chandni Chowk, and the secret cremation at Rakab Ganj Sahib. Each segment is crafted with rich visuals and authentic narration, drawing from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib and trusted historical records.
The presentation also includes an artistic light-and-shadow show that enhances the spiritual atmosphere.
The Mixed Reality layer has been developed with technical support from Flam, enabling this innovative tribute to the revered Guru’s timeless legacy.
