After leading India to a historic victory in the Under-19 World Cup 2026, captain Ayush Mhatre returned to the country from Zimbabwe to a grand استقبال at Mumbai Airport. The young skipper, along with his teammates, received a warm welcome from fans waving the tricolour and celebrating the team’s achievement. Mhatre’s parents and family members were also present at the airport, visibly emotional and proud of his remarkable accomplishment.

Soon after returning to India, Ayush Mhatre visited the residence of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar on Monday. The meeting turned out to be a memorable and special moment for the young captain. Tendulkar presented Mhatre with his own Test jersey, a symbol of honour and pride in Indian cricket. Along with the jersey, the batting maestro also handed him a personally handwritten message.
