Earlier, passes were issued only up to 60 kms

Haryana Minister of State for Transport Aseem Goel, has announced that the bus pass facility for students studying in government and recognized educational institutions in the state has been extended from 60 kms to 150 kms.
He informed that the discounted bus passes will be issued to all students studying in such schools/colleges/institutions within the state that are recognized by the state government or affiliated with any university or board in the state.
This decision by the government is expected to benefit several students across the state and is considered a major step taken in the interest of students.
The Transport Minister stated that the Transport Department will issue bus passes for a maximum distance of up to 150 Kms from the educational institution, which was previously limited to only 60 kms. These bus passes will be issued on a semi-annual basis upon the recommendation of the school/college/institution authorities.
