CHANDIGARH: The Haryana State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (HAFED) is one of the fastest growing Cooperative Sector Organization in the State of Haryana which is watching the interests of the farmers right from providing them quality Agricultural Inputs at their door steps and also makes procurement of food grains produced by them on behalf of Government in the larger interest of farmers.
Now Hafed has decided to set up a Modem Rice Mill at Baroda, district Sonepat wherein all Basmati variety of Rice including 1121 and with Shella and Paraboiled Rice production facilities for sale of good quality rice to the consumers of Haryana and for export to other basmati rice consuming countries.
The new Rice mill will be set-up with a cost of approx. Rs.12.00 crore with production capacity of 4 MT per hour. This new Rice Mill will be in the interest of farming community of this area and their agri produce will be purchased in the Mandis on remunerative price to improve the financial help of the farmers. The proposed Rice Mill will generate employment opportunities for the people of Baroda Constituency and also ensuring remurative prices to the farmers for their produce.
