Haryana wrestlers shine in PWL 2026; Aman Sehrawat wins Fighter of the Match, Tapsya Gahlawat records a clean sweep
Haryana wrestlers continue to deliver impressive performances in the Pro Wrestling League (PWL) 2026. In the fourth match of the league, played on Saturday evening at the Noida Indoor Stadium, UP Dominators registered a commanding 7–2 victory over Tigers of Mumbai Dangal, dominating the contest across multiple weight categories.
In the women’s 53 kg category, two-time Under-20 World Champion Anmol Panghal once again showcased her class with a strong and confident performance. Displaying excellent technique and physical strength, Anmol controlled her bout from the start and secured a convincing win, giving UP Dominators an early advantage and setting the tone for the match.
Paris 2024 Olympic bronze medallist Aman Sehrawat delivered a standout performance for Tigers of Mumbai Dangal. Aman showed great fighting spirit and tactical awareness to win his bout convincingly. For his impressive effort, he was awarded the Fighter of the Match honor. However, despite his individual brilliance, Aman was unable to prevent his team from suffering an overall defeat as Mumbai struggled in the remaining bouts.
In the women’s division, Tapsya Gahlawat also put in a dominant display, completing a clean sweep in her category. Her victory further strengthened UP Dominators’ lead and underlined the team’s depth in the women’s wrestling events.
In the heavyweight category, Khelo India University Games gold medallist Jas Pooran Singh impressed with his composed and disciplined performance. Maintaining control throughout his bout, Jas Pooran secured an important win for his team. His calm approach and effective strategy earned him the Player of the Match award.
Overall, UP Dominators delivered a well-balanced performance, combining aggression with tactical discipline in both the men’s and women’s categories. Their comprehensive 7–2 win over Tigers of Mumbai Dangal highlights their strong form and growing confidence in PWL 2026.
