Young batting sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi departed with the senior Indian cricket team on Tuesday for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England. Ahead of his departure, the teenager received the prestigious No. 3 Team India jersey sent by the BCCI, a moment that left him visibly emotional.

The jersey was handed over by Team India's throwdown specialist Raghu. Before accepting it, Sooryavanshi touched Raghu's feet as a mark of respect and sought his blessings. The heartwarming moment was captured on camera.

Expressing his emotions, Sooryavanshi said the occasion fulfilled a dream he had cherished since first picking up a cricket bat.

"It cannot be expressed in words. The dream I saw when I first stepped onto a cricket field with a bat has come true today. This is the biggest step of my career so far, and it is impossible to describe this feeling," he said.

If Sooryavanshi makes his international debut against Ireland or England, he will become the youngest player ever to represent India in international cricket, breaking the record held by Sachin Tendulkar, who debuted at the age of 16 years and 205 days.

The 15-year-old has earned his maiden call-up to the Indian national team, becoming the youngest player ever selected for the senior side. India's T20I tour of Ireland begins on June 26, while the England series starts on July 1.

The squad for the Ireland and England T20I series includes captain Shreyas Iyer, vice-captain Tilak Varma, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Ishan Kishan, Shivam Dube, Axar Patel, Washington Sundar, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohammed Siraj, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh and Prince Yadav.
