AMRITSAR: 24 religious teachers appointed by Dharm Prachar Committee of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for various schools/colleges were given appointment letters at Shiromani Committee office today. These religious teachers will teach children Gurbani, Sikh history, Sikh Rehit Mariyada . Before this, 53 religious teachers are serving in different schools/colleges by the Dharma Prachar Committee. With the appointment of these 24 newly appointed teachers, the number of religious teachers has increased to 77.

AMRITSAR: In a big blow to trans-border narcotic network amidst the ongoing war against drugs waged on the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Punjab Police have busted a cross-border drug smuggling racket being operated by USA-based smuggler Sarwan Singh with the arrest of one person after recovering 12Kg heroin from his possession, said Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav here on Monday.
