79th Independence Day Celebrated across Haryana with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Spirit

Grand events held across districts; Ministers, Speaker and Deputy Speaker take salute at ceremonial parades

The 79th Independence Day was celebrated across Haryana on Friday with fervent patriotism, vibrant processions, and tricolour-themed festivities. Districts and sub-divisions hosted a variety of programmes where the Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Cabinet Ministers presided over ceremonies as chief guests and took salute at the parades

The celebrations began with the hoisting of the national flag, as chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram” echoed through the air. The streets were draped in saffron, white, and green, while schools and community centres staged patriotic songs, plays, and poetry recitals.

In Panipat, addressing the gathering, Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Harvindra Kalyan described August 15 as a day charged with the emotions of lakhs, honouring the countless martyrs who laid down their lives for freedom. Recalling the April 22, 2025 Pahalgam terror attack, he said the armed forces avenged the killings by destroying terror camps inside Pakistan.

Addressing the gathering at Karnal, Deputy Speaker Dr. Krishan Lal Middha paid homage to martyrs and praised security forces for their swift and decisive elimination of the terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack.

Addressing the gathering at Palwal Rajesh Nagar said that countless brave sons and daughters of Maa Bharti sacrificed their lives to secure India’s freedom.

 

 

 

Addressing the gathering at Faridabad, Gaurav Gautam said that today is not just a date on the calendar, but a day of emotions for crores of Indians, reminding us that countless bravehearts of Mother India sacrificed their lives to give us freedom. He described the tricolour as the embodiment of India’s history and aspirations, lauding the armed forces for their decisive responses to threats to national sovereignty.
