AAP Punjab Protests Against PPCC Chief Raja Warring’s Casteist Remarks; Burns His Effigy in Tarn Taran

Punjab Newsline, Tarn Taran-

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab on Monday held a massive protest against Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring for his shameful and casteist remarks against a SC Congress leader. Led by senior AAP leaders, the protest saw hundreds of party workers gather in Tarn Taran to demand expulsion of Raja Warring from Congress and an unconditional public apology for his derogatory comments that have deeply hurt the sentiments of Scheduled Caste communities.

Cabinet Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal led the demonstration along with senior party functionaries and volunteers. The enraged protesters burnt an effigy of Raja Warring amid loud slogans of “Raja Warring Haye Haye” and “Congress Murdabad.” The AAP workers also gheraoed the local Congress office in Tarn Taran, condemning the Congress leadership for its continued silence on Warring’s offensive remarks.

AAP leaders said, “Raja Warring’s casteist mindset has been exposed. His remarks are an insult to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s ideals and to the millions who have struggled for equality and dignity. Congress must take strict disciplinary action against him if it truly believes in social justice.”

Cheema added that the Aam Aadmi Party will continue to fight against caste-based discrimination and ensure that every citizen of Punjab is treated with respect and equality. “This protest is not political, it’s a fight for the dignity of our people,” he said.
