Jalandhar witnessed panic once again on Monday morning after several schools received bomb threats via email. Around 8 AM, shortly after schools opened, threatening messages were sent to DPS School, Mayor World School, and MGN School.

The email contained objectionable language and warned, “Save your children…,” creating fear among school authorities and parents.

Following the alerts, school managements immediately informed the district administration and police. Security teams rushed to the locations and launched thorough search operations across the school premises. Although no suspicious objects were found during the initial checks, security has been tightened as a precaution, and vigilance has been increased in the area.

According to sources, the threatening email also mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, and AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal. It reportedly challenged them and warned of serious consequences if statues of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar were not removed by April 14. However, the message also claimed that the sender had no enmity with children.

Notably, similar threats have been reported in the past, which later turned out to be hoaxes. At present, the police cyber cell is working to trace the origin of the email, and the matter is being investigated seriously.

Ferozepur Court Receives Threat, Work Suspended

In a related development, the Ferozepur court complex also received a bomb threat. As a precautionary measure, court proceedings have been suspended until 2 PM. Police evacuated the complex and initiated a search operation to ensure safety.
