CM announces Major Development Bonanza for Badhra Constituency

High-tension wires passing over houses to be removed at a government expense of Rs. 3 crore

Jhojhu Kalan to be included in MahaGram Yojana, consolidation of remaining villages to be completed

New grain market to be set up in Badhra and vegetable market in Hadouda

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while making a series of announcements for the Badhra Assembly constituency, said that the high-tension electricity wires passing over residential areas in the region will be removed by the Electricity Department. For this purpose, an amount of Rs 3 crore will be provided to the department and the government will bear the entire cost.

In addition, the Chief Minister announced that a new grain market will be established in Badhra once suitable land is made available. He also announced the construction of a vegetable market in village Hadouda, subject to feasibility assessment, and the inclusion of village Jhojhu Kalan under the Mahagram Yojana.

These announcements were made during a public meeting held at Jhojhu Kalan in the Badhra Assembly constituency of district Charkhi Dadri on Thursday. On this occasion, Irrigation and Water Resources Minister, Shruti Chaudhary, Member of Parliament Ch Dharambir Singh, and other dignitaries were also present.

Saini announced that the consolidation work of certain villages in the Badhra Assembly constituency, which is currently pending, will be completed at the earliest. He further stated that a veterinary hospital will be established in village Patuwas once suitable land is made available. He also announced that Badhra will be granted the status of an electricity division, and an electricity office will be constructed for which Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned. In addition, after conducting a feasibility assessment, the Badhra Public Health sub-division will be upgraded to a full division.

Announcing plans to upgrade the Kaliyana–Dadri road to a four-lane highway, the Chief Minister said the project will proceed after the feasibility study. Responding to the demand for granting sub-tehsil status to Jhojhu Kalan, he said that an application should be submitted to the committee constituted by the government for such matters. Furthermore, he announced that a fire station will be set up in Badhra after feasibility assessment. The government schools in Mahrana and Dhani Phogat villages will also be upgraded to the senior secondary level following a feasibility review.

Over Rs 21 crore to be spent on special repair of roads

Saini, while announcing measures to strengthen the road network in the Badhra Assembly constituency, stated that 100 roads covering a total length of 311.20 km, currently under the Defect Liability Period (DLP), will be repaired by the concerned agencies. In addition, he announced Rs 20.40 crore for the repair of 12 PWD roads spanning 48.31 km. Special repairs will also be carried out on five roads measuring 13.80 km under the Marketing Board in the Badhra area. Furthermore, Rs 1.19 crore has been sanctioned for the special repair of three roads with a total length of 11.70 km. Alongside this, 21 roads totaling 63.9 km, also falling under the DLP, will be repaired through the respective agencies.

He also announced that an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will be opened in Kari-Rupa, subject to a feasibility study. Additionally, the Chief Minister announced Rs 5 crore for the construction of kutcha (unpaved) roads in villages under the Badhra Assembly constituency, along with another Rs 5 crore for various development works in rural areas of the constituency.

Speaking on women's empowerment, the Chief Minister said that the government has launched the Lado Laxmi Yojana with a dedicated budgetary provision of Rs 5,000 crore. Under this scheme, the government will soon begin providing Rs 2,100 directly to eligible women beneficiaries.
