FCR Assures Revenue Officers of Sympathetic Consideration; Normal Work Resumes Across Haryana

Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-

The Financial Commissioner Revenue & Disaster Management Department, on Monday said that the Haryana Government at the level of FCR, Dr. Sumita Misra & Director, Consolidation of Land Holdings & Land Records, Dr. Yash Pal has held detailed and constructive discussions with representatives of the Revenue Officers and has assured them that all their concerns will be examined sympathetically, in accordance with law and established procedures.

After patiently hearing their viewpoints, the government appreciated that some of the concerns expressed by the officers required careful examination by the competent authority. She assured them that due process would be followed and that every matter would be considered objectively and fairly.

Emphasizing the crucial role played by Revenue Officers, the FCR, Dr. Misra said that they are the backbone of the administrative system and that several departments depend on their work. She acknowledged that increasing workload and rising public expectations often put officers under significant pressure, and that at times incorrect or misleading narratives can affect their morale.

Dr. Misra reiterated that it has always been the policy of the department and the government to actively involve field officers in new initiatives. She said that consultations with Revenue Officers would be further institutionalized to ensure regular dialogue between the field and headquarters, thereby eliminating communication gaps and preventing misunderstandings.

Assuring a positive and supportive work environment, the FCR urged officers to continue discharging their duties strictly within the framework of law and to promptly communicate any difficulties faced while performing official responsibilities. She noted that transparent and timely communication is key to resolving issues before they escalate.

In view of the assurances given by the government and keeping in mind the inconvenience faced by the general public, the Revenue Officers decided  unconditionally to resume their duties from today. Dr. Misra welcomed this decision and expressed confidence that strengthened coordination and mutual trust would further improve public service delivery in the state.

It was further assured in the meeting that the Inter Departmental committee of the officers shall be constituted for better coordination and policy issues.
