A major fire broke out late Thursday night in four factories located in the Kundli Industrial Area of Sonipat, Haryana. The intensity of the blaze was such that firefighters struggled for several hours to bring it under control.
According to officials, no casualties have been reported so far. The fire sub-station in Kundli received information about the incident around 2:30 AM, reporting flames in multiple industrial units near NIFTEM. Firefighters rushed to the spot and found that four factories had already been engulfed.
To tackle the massive blaze, fire tenders from nearby stations were also called in. A total of 14 fire engines have been deployed, and efforts to douse the fire are still ongoing.
Out of the four affected units, three factories—located at plots C-56, C-57, and C-62—are owned by the same individual, while the fourth belongs to another owner. All the factories were engaged in manufacturing home appliances such as fans and coolers.
