Full response to the signature campaign for the release of captive Singhs: SGPC

AMRITSAR: The signature campaign launched by the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for the release of the captive Singhs is getting a great response. Under this campaign, which was started on December 1, along with the historical Gurdwara Sahibs of Punjab, people in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Delhi are also demanding the release of captive Singhs by filling proformas.

Along with this, people are joining this campaign in foreign countries as well. Secretary of the Shiromani Committee Pratap Singh said that since the first day, there is great enthusiasm among the people towards the signature campaign. He said that according to the instructions of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, the process of filling proforma was started at about 25 gurdwaras of Punjab and Haryana under the first phase, which is being extended further.

He said that signature campaign has been started through the Sikh Missions in Uttar Pradesh and Delhi as well, in continuation of which proformas should be sent to the Sikh Missions of the Shiromani Committee located in other parts of the country to demand the release of the captive Singhs. have been Along with this, the process of filling proforma through online medium is also going on. He informed that until yesterday, more than 1 lakh 20 thousand devotees have filled the proformas under the signature campaign for the release of Bandi Singhs at different Gurdwara Sahibs and in addition to this, about 5 thousand online entries have also been received. He said that in the next few days this campaign will be extended to educational institutions and other gurdwaras as well as to the village level.

Meanwhile, SGPC member S. Gurpreet Singh Jhabbar has held meetings with local people. He has informed from Australia that Punjabis have been made aware about the signing campaign in Australia. During these gatherings, the Sangat have been informed about filling the form through online method and the Gurdwara management have expressed their commitment to actively promote this movement in the country.
