After the announcement of a ceasefire between the United States and Iran, Indian markets opened with strong gains. The Sensex jumped over 2,700 points in early trading, while the Nifty rose 815 points, crossing the 23,900 mark.
Investors are also keeping a close watch on today's RBI Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decision, which could further influence market trends.
The ceasefire announcement has also impacted the Indian rupee. Following the agreement between the US and Iran, the rupee strengthened by 50 paise, trading at ₹92.56 against the US dollar in early deals.
