The Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee has taken a major disciplinary action by suspending five MLAs from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect for violating organizational discipline.
State Congress President Rao Narendra Singh announced that the action has been taken against MLAs Shalli Chaudhary (Naraingarh), Renu Bala (Sadhaura), Jarnail Singh (Ratia), Mohammad Illyas (Punhana), and Mohammad Israil (Hathin).
According to party sources, the MLAs allegedly voted against the party’s official candidate in the recently held Rajya Sabha elections, an act considered a serious breach of party discipline.
The decision was taken following the recommendation of the state disciplinary committee and has received approval from All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge.
Rao Narendra Singh emphasized that discipline remains paramount in the party and any deviation from collective decisions will not be tolerated. He added that the move sends a strong message to all leaders and workers that strict action is inevitable against those who go against the party line.
