A 29-year-old Punjabi Man Taranpreet Singh Sidhu was found dead in Ontario's Hamilton city, with Canadian police treating the case as a homicide.
Sidhu's body was recovered from a culvert in the Stoney Creek area near Fruitland Road on the morning of July 15, 2026, after emergency services responded to reports of an unconscious person at around 8:15 a.m. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
According to investigators, evidence suggests Sidhu was killed at another location and his body was later dumped at the site where it was discovered. However, the exact cause of death has not yet been made public.
Originally from Punjab, Sidhu moved to Canada in 2022 and had been working as a truck driver while living in Brampton and Halifax.
The Hamilton Police Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is continuing to gather evidence to determine the circumstances surrounding the killing. Authorities have not announced any arrests or identified suspects so far.
Police have appealed to the public for any information that could assist in the investigation.
