Ahead of ‘Border 2’ Release, Sunny Deol Visits INS Vikrant, Shares Patriotic Post

Ahead of the release of the film Border 2, actor Sunny Deol appeared in a patriotic avatar. Sunny Deol visited India’s indigenous aircraft carrier, INS Vikrant, where he spent time with the Indian Navy officers and personnel. He shared glimpses of this special moment on his official Instagram account, featuring a selfie with the Navy officers.

In the photo, Sunny Deol was seen wearing a green shirt, dark green trousers, and a black turban. The beautiful view of the sea in the background added to the charm of the picture. Along with the photo, Sunny expressed his love for the nation, writing, “Hindustan Meri Jaan… Meri Aan… Meri Shaan… Hindustan. Pride. Honour. Bravery! #INSVikrant #IndianNavy.” The post quickly went viral on social media, with fans praising his patriotic spirit.

It is noteworthy that Sunny Deol was also part of the original hit film Border in 1997, which was based on the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers. Recently, during the launch of the song “Ghar Kab Aaoge” from Border 2, Sunny spoke openly about his connection to the franchise. He revealed that he chose to do Border inspired by his father, legendary actor Dharmendra. Sunny mentioned that he had watched his father’s film Haqeeqat during his childhood, which left a deep impression on him, and after becoming an actor, he decided to do a patriotic film like his father.

It is worth mentioning that Dharmendra passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. Since then, Sunny Deol has often remembered his father and the inspiration he drew from him.

Alongside Sunny Deol, Border 2 will feature Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty in key roles. Varun Dhawan is portraying the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Hoshiar Singh Dahiya. Recently, Varun met the family of Hoshiar Singh Dahiya and described it as an honour, sharing the moment on social media.

Border 2 is presented by Gulshan Kumar and T-Series, in collaboration with J.P. Dutta’s J.P. Films. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, J.P. Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta, with Anurag Singh as the director. This highly anticipated movie is scheduled to release in theatres on January 23, 2026.
