The film ‘HAQ’ has been receiving an overwhelmingly positive response from audiences. Actress Yami Gautam, who plays the role of Shah Bano Begum, is being widely appreciated for her impactful and emotionally rich performance. Reacting to the love and admiration, Yami expressed her gratitude to the audience through a post on social media platform X.

‘HAQ’ is based on the landmark 1985 Supreme Court judgment in Mohd. Ahmed Khan vs Shah Bano Begum, a historic case that played a crucial role in shaping discussions around women’s rights and maintenance laws in India. The film presents the case in a sensitive yet compelling manner, highlighting its long-lasting social impact.

Earlier, in a conversation with ANI, Yami spoke about her approach to the character and the importance of emotional understanding while portraying real-life stories.
