MRSAFPI Shines Again: 20 Cadets Make It to NDA Merit List

The Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali) has achieved a major milestone. 20 cadets successfully clearing the Services Selection Board (SSB) interview. Cadets have secured places in the final merit list for the prestigious National Defence Academy (NDA)-156 course. This scheduled to commence in June 2026.

Demonstrating exceptional courage and training, cadet Abhish from Mohali secured an impressive 4th position at the All India level, while cadet Gurkaranjit Singh from Malerkotla achieved the 12th rank. In total, five cadets from the institute have made it to the top 100 of the national merit list. The selected candidates are now awaiting their joining letters from the National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla.

Punjab Minister Aman Arora congratulate to the selected ones

Extending his heartfelt congratulations, Punjab’s Employment Generation, Skill Development and Training Minister, Aman Arora, termed this achievement as evidence of Punjab’s rising prominence in defence preparatory education under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann. He praised the cadets for bringing pride to the state through their hard work, discipline, and the high-quality training imparted at MRSAFPI. “I wish them a bright and successful future,” he said.

Major General Ajay H. Chauhan, VSM (Retd), the Director of MRSAFPI, also expressed immense pride in the cadets’ performance and highlighted the institute’s consistent record of producing outstanding officers for the Indian Armed Forces. He stated that the results reflect the unwavering dedication of the faculty and the relentless spirit of the cadets.
