Azim Premji Foundation Conducts Placement Drive at Central University of Punjab

The Azim Premji Foundation conducted a placement drive at the Central University of Punjab, Bathinda, attracting enthusiastic participation from students across various academic departments of the University including Chemistry, Biochemistry, Economics, English, Environmental Science and Technology, Physics, Microbiology, Mathematics etc. 

A total of 171 students registered and were shortlisted for the recruitment process. Among them, 102 students attended the pre-placement talk, while 96 candidates appeared for the written test conducted as part of the selection process. The results of written test will be announced in coming days.

Expressing gratitude to the team lead by Mr. Ashish Sharma from Azim Premji Foundation, Prof. Vinod Pathania, Training and Placement Officer, stated that the Foundation offered an attractive compensation structure, with the annual CTC of ₹4.50 lakh, along with additional benefits. The average package offered was ₹38,000 per month, excluding additional benefits. He noted that the placement drive provided a valuable career opportunity for students and highlighted the strengthening industry–academia engagement at the University. Dr Surjeet Singh Dhaka and Dr Deepak Bhardwaj from the placement cell coordinated the event.

Prof. Raghavendra P. Tiwari, Vice-Chancellor, appreciated the initiative of the Azim Premji Foundation for extending employment opportunities to students of the Central University of Punjab. He also commended the efforts of the University’s Training and Placement Office for actively collaborating with reputed organizations to facilitate on-campus placement opportunities for students.

Since 2025, the University’s Training and Placement Office has invited several corporate organizations to conduct campus placement drives at CU Punjab, thereby enhancing employability opportunities and strengthening industry linkages for students.
