Devank Dalal’s Storming Raids in Sonipat: Bhiwani Bulls Crush Gurugram Gurus 62–34; One-Sided Clash in Kabaddi Champions League

Punjab Newsline,Sports:

In the Kabaddi Champions League, Bhiwani Bulls delivered a commanding performance in Sonipat, thrashing Gurugram Gurus 62–34 in a completely one-sided encounter.

Displaying sharp attacking intent and rock-solid defence, the Bulls dominated proceedings from start to finish. The highlight of the match was tournament’s most expensive player Devank Dalal, who took centre stage with his explosive raids and turned the contest firmly in Bhiwani’s favour.

The high-octane match was graced by the presence of IPS Ashok Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of Sports University of Haryana and former DGP of Uttarakhand Police, as the chief guest. His presence added to the excitement and prestige of the event.

Even Start in the Opening Minutes

Devank Dalal opened the scoring with a bonus point but was soon caught out, bringing the score level at 1–1. Gurugram Gurus’ Jatin Narwal then gave his team the lead and revived Devank, bringing him back into the game. In the first five minutes, a fierce battle unfolded between the raiders of both sides, but Bhiwani Bulls edged ahead to take a 7–4 lead.

From there on, Bhiwani Bulls tightened their grip on the match. Their defence rose to the occasion with well-timed tackles, repeatedly stopping Gurugram’s raiders. Devank Dalal led the charge in attack, executing a series of successful raids, including super raids, and playing a key role in inflicting multiple all-outs on the opposition. With every passing raid, Gurugram Gurus struggled to keep pace as the scoreline continued to widen.

By halftime, Bhiwani Bulls had built a comfortable lead, which they extended further in the second half. The team maintained an aggressive approach, combining disciplined defence with relentless raiding. Gurugram Gurus searched for a comeback but found no answers against Bhiwani’s organised and confident gameplay.

Ultimately, Bhiwani Bulls sealed a massive 62–34 victory, underlining their dominance in the Kabaddi Champions League and emerging as strong contenders in the tournament.
