The Enforcement Directorate (ED) carried out raids at the residence of Punjab Cabinet Minister Sanjeev Arora in Ludhiana on Friday morning. Central security forces were deployed outside his residence as the ED team entered the premises and initiated the search operation.

According to officials, raids were also conducted at the minister’s residential and other business-linked properties. The action is reportedly connected to an old money laundering case and alleged irregularities in land deals.

Just two days earlier, the ED had also searched around 10 locations linked to Aam Aadmi Party Rajya Sabha MP and Lovely Professional University (LPU) Chancellor Ashok Mittal.

Local residents said that around 7 a.m., two vehicles of central security forces arrived at the location, after which officials entered the minister’s residence. Entry and exit from the premises were restricted during the operation. Reports suggest that Sanjeev Arora was not present at his residence at the time of the raid.

In a related development, ED teams also carried out searches at locations linked to Arora’s close associate and real estate businessman Hemant Sood in Jalandhar. Sood is the director of Hampton Homes.
