Gangsters No Longer Fear Punjab Police and Government, Law and Order Collapsing Under AAP Rule
Condemnable Murder of Chemist in Dera Baba Nanak for Refusing Extortion
Punjab Newsline, Chandigarh-
Former Education Minister and MLA Pargat Singh criticized the Punjab government's "war against gangsters," stating that while the police claim to be hunting gangsters, these criminals are boldly entering police offices to commit murders. He questioned: If murders can happen in the highly secure SSP Mohali office, how can ordinary people in Punjab feel safe? The deteriorating law and order situation has spiraled beyond the control of the AAP and CM Bhagwant Singh Mann. Criminals are now openly challenging the police and government right at their doorsteps.
Pargat Singh reiterated that the AAP has failed to maintain law and order since day one. The party stages events for show, including this latest campaign against gangsters to fool Punjab's people. The government, which deployed 2,000 teams of 12,000 police personnel to eliminate gangsters, must explain who these fearless criminals are who commit open crimes without any fear of the police.
Pargat Singh said that gangsters entering the SSP office—armed with security personnel—and carrying out a murder before fleeing is a slap in the face to the government and its campaign. Questions arise: Why didn't the police act against these criminals? This exposes police failure. The High Court summoning the SSP Mohali further proves the government's incompetence.
Despite the AAP government's campaign, gangsters continue extortion and murders unabated—in fact, they are rising. This morning in Dera Baba Nanak, a well-known chemist shop owner was shot dead for refusing extortion. He had been attacked once before.
