Noa Arghamani, a 26-year-old Israeli citizen, has been released after being held hostage by Palestinian group Hamas for 245 days. She was rescued by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) and handed over to her family. Arghamani was kidnapped from the Nova Music Festival on October 7 last year, and was in captivity for eight months. Arghamani and her boyfriend Avinatan were taken hostage from among a large crowd of young revelers at the Nova Music Festival after Hamas launched a sensational land-sea-air attack on Israel. In viral footage of the incident, Arghamani was forcibly taken to Gaza on the back of a motorcycle and she was screaming, but she was not released. Arghamani was held hostage in Gaza for 245 days. During her captivity, the condition of her mother Liora, who was suffering from end-stage brain cancer, deteriorated.
