Panic has gripped parts of Punjab as rumors of petrol and diesel running out triggered long queues at fuel stations across the state. Amritsar, Jalandhar, and Phagwara have seen a sudden rush of vehicles at petrol pumps, with people waiting for hours amid fears of a shortage.

Most petrol pumps in Amritsar have reportedly run out of fuel, while many others are running on limited stock. In Jalandhar, heavy crowds were seen late into the night at pumps near Guru Ravidas Chowk, BSF Chowk, and Workshop Chowk. Phagwara too witnessed similar scenes, with vehicles lined up in long queues.

Local authorities have deployed police personnel and officials at major petrol pumps to manage the situation and prevent chaos. The administration has also been in touch with oil companies to restore supplies and ensure normalcy is brought back as soon as possible.

Officials have urged citizens not to panic or believe unverified rumors, emphasizing that fuel supply is being monitored and measures are underway to maintain availability across the state.
