100 more Vyayamshals to be opened in the state in 60 days
So far 714 Vyayamshalas are operational in the state, 1121 locations have been identified

CM Nayab Singh announced that 100 additional Vyayamshalas will be established in the state over the next 60 days to facilitate regular yoga practice.The CM was addressing yoga practitioners at a state-level event organized in Hisar today to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day. The program was conducted by the Haryana Yoga Aayog and the AYUSH Department.During the event, CM participated in a yoga session alongside the attendees and listened to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's address from Srinagar, where he conveyed a message to the nation on International Yoga Day.
He stated that Vyayamshalas have been opened by identifying 1121 places in the state and regular yoga sessions already taking place in 714 of these facilities. The Haryana government aims to bring yoga to every household in the state to promote health and well-being. Yoga, is not just an important aspect of life but also a way of life. He highlighted that Prime Minister Sh Narendra Modi had a resolution passed in the United Nations General Assembly in 2014, granting international recognition to yoga. This resolution was supported by 177 countries. Today, 217 countries worldwide celebrate June 21 as International Yoga Day. On this occasion, practitioners participated in yoga sessions in parks, auditoriums, homes, localities, and panchayats.
Chief Minister said that to connect people with yoga and improve their health, the government has appointed 877 Ayush Yoga Sahayaks who will provide daily yoga instruction. After this, the Yoga Sahayaks will give information about the importance of yoga to improve the health of the patients and their families visiting Ayush dispensaries.
He highlighted that during the COVID-19 pandemic, when there were no medicines or vaccines available, many people turned to yoga to combat the disease and experienced significant relief. Today, yoga is celebrated as a festival. In modern times, everyone's life has become hectic, leading to mental stress. Yoga not only alleviates stress but also energizes the body. A healthy body accelerates personal and societal development. He urged everyone to pledge to move forward through yoga.

Do yoga, stay healthy
The Chief Minister appealed to the public to make yoga a part of their daily routine to safeguard their health. "Do yoga, stay healthy," he emphasized. He said that the Haryana government has decided to incorporate yoga into the school curriculum.  The Chief Minister congratulated the people of Haryana on International Yoga Day and added that this year's theme is "Yoga for Self and Yoga for Society."

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also released the booklet "Yoga Protocol” of Haryana Yoga Aayog.
