Complete information related to players, sports facilities and performance will now be available at a single click
The Haryana government has taken a major step toward strengthening and organizing sports activities in government schools across the state. In this direction, a Sports Data Portal has been launched to digitally document and manage sports-related information. This portal is expected to make it easier to identify sports talent at the school level, improve training systems, and closely monitor player performance. The government believes this initiative will enhance transparency in sports and create better opportunities for talented athletes.
Through the new Sports Data Portal, all sports-related information of government schools will now be available on a single digital platform. The portal will include detailed sports profiles of students, their achievements, participation in tournaments, coaching details, and information about sports infrastructure available in schools. This will provide accurate and up-to-date data to both the Sports Department and the Education Department.
The portal will help physical education teachers and coaches track the progress of players more effectively. It will become easier to assess which student is performing well in a particular sport, what level of training they require, and which competitions they should be selected for in the future. Data-driven decisions are expected to play a key role in planning training and participation at district and state levels.
According to the government, the digital platform will bring greater transparency to selection processes and the allocation of resources in sports. Talented players from rural and remote areas will also get a fair chance to showcase their abilities, as their performances will now be recorded online. This will reduce the chances of talent being overlooked.
This initiative is being seen as an important step toward further strengthening Haryana’s strong presence in the field of sports. It is expected that the Sports Data Portal will promote a robust sports culture at the school level and help nurture more athletes capable of competing at national and international levels in the future.
