U.S President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a chilling warning to Iran, saying that “tonight, an entire civilization could end, never to be revived again.” Speaking on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump added, “I do not wish this, but perhaps it will happen.”
However, he hinted at a potential shift in leadership, noting, “Now that we face a complete change of power with different, more intelligent, and less extremist leaders in charge perhaps something revolutionary and remarkable could occur, who knows?”
Trump further stated, “Tonight, we will witness one of the most crucial moments in the long and complex history of the world. The forced exploitation, corruption, and deaths spanning 47 years will finally come to an end. May God bless the great people of Iran.”
Attacks on Kharg Island
The statement comes amid multiple attacks by U.S. and Israeli forces on Iran’s Kharg Island earlier today. Additionally, a bridge near the city of Qom was also targeted.
